Nexus M2 Multi Lane Stick Pack Machine

The Nexus M2 is a multi-lane stick pack machine with volumetric cup dosing, built for free-flowing powders and granules such as sugar, salt, coffee, protein, collagen and electrolyte blends. It is a vertical form fill seal system that forms, fills and seals two lanes of stick packs per cycle as standard, and is configured up to ten lanes for high-volume production. It is the powder and granule model in the Nexus stick pack machine range.

What it does

A reel of film is slit into lanes and each lane is formed into a narrow tube. Volumetric cups measure a fixed volume of product per cycle and drop it into every lane at once, then horizontal jaws seal and cut the sticks. Because a cup filler has no screw mechanism, it is fast, easy to clean and low on maintenance, which is why it is the right dosing method for free-flowing product. For powders that do not flow, the same machine takes an auger, and for liquids a pump.

Cup filler versus auger filler

A volumetric cup suits products that pour, such as sugar or salt: no screw, fewer moving parts, faster cleaning. An auger suits fine, fluffy or cohesive powders that would bridge in a cup, such as cocoa or flour. Nexus fits the dosing method to a sample of your product before the machine is specified.
